Pinos Altos Volunteer Fire Stations

Where We Serve

The Pinos Altos Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department covers over 275 square miles in Grant County, New Mexico.

From Signal Peak and the Highway 15 corridor on the west side of our district, to LS Mesa and Bear Mountain Road on the east side, the Pinos Altos Volunteer Fire and Rescue district reaches to the town limits on the southern boundary and as far north as Wildhorse Mesa on the northern boundary.

Our primary response area is on private property and off roads such as Cottage San, Little Walnut and Swan Street. However, when a call for mutual aid comes in, our volunteers and equipment stand ready to respond to other volunteer districts as well as to public lands across southern New Mexico.
