
Pinos Altos Volunteer Fire & Rescue
Serving the Greater Pinos Altos Area in Grant County, New Mexico
With four stations within 275 square miles and dozens of volunteers, the department welcomes new members and accepts volunteers willing to participate in a variety of capacities. Meetings take place on the second Monday of each month at either the Cottage San Road station or the Pinos Altos station.
Neighbors Protecting Neighbors
Last year, Pinos Altos Volunteer Fire and Rescue answered more than 300 calls – everything from EMS to wildfires. With 51 dedicated members, 17 vehicles, and thousands of hours of training, we are the frontline when our community needs us most.

From live drills to 1:1 instruction, our members logged over three thousand hours of training last year to stay sharp and prepared for any emergency.

With four strategically located stations, our fleet of 17 fire and rescue vehicles ensures we can respond quickly and effectively to emergencies across our district.

Emergency Calls
Our volunteers respond to hundreds of emergencies each year. Calls range from medical aid and structure fires to motor vehicle accidents and wildland fires, proving that PAVFR is always ready when the community needs us most.
